HP StorageWorks File System Extender
HP StorageWorks File System Extender (FSE) is new-generation data management software with capabilities beyond traditional HSM software that makes it a cost effective solution to managing massive amounts of file system stored data. Using policies that reflect business requirements, files are automatically moved between production storage and secondary storage. Depending upon business needs, the migrating file system can be upgraded to WORM, multiple copies created of the migrated files and different media types used for the secondary storage.
HP StorageWorks Reference Information Manager for Messaging (RIM)
The HP StorageWorks Reference Information Manger (RIM) for Messaging is an Email archiving application that reduces the cost of Email storage and helps enterprises address compliance requirements. It is targeted for enterprises attempting to cope with the explosive Email growth, and those who are subject to data retention requirements - such as SEC17a-4 or internal corporate governance rules. Selective Archiving mode provides policies to mine messages from individual users' mailboxes. Policies can be based on any combination of message; age, size, sender/recipient or keyword, and can be set for individual users, groups or enterprise-wide. Compliance Mode enables all messages to be automatically sent to a secure archive. RIM for Messaging fully integrates with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, covering the majority of enterprise Email environments. RIM for Messaging is specifically designed as an application connector to the HP Reference Information Storage System (RISS). The RISS platform is a feature rich archiving system; it provides single instancing, full-content indexing, date and time stamping, which is architected on the HP StorageWorks Grid for rapid retrieval of files.
