Virtual Infrastructure Assessment

The traditional approach of deploying Microsoft applications, on a server-by-server basis, has typically led to ‘server sprawl’ and silos of localised data – resulting in increased cost, complexity and management overhead. Server virtualisation provides the means to reduce your server estate - consolidating multiple application servers onto a smaller number of ‘virtual hosts’, delivering: higher server utilisation; increased Service Levels; reduced carbon emissions and significantly reduced Capital Costs and ongoing Total Cost of Ownership.

Alpha’s Virtualisation Assessment Service provides a clear view of the server consolidation opportunity within your existing physical IT infrastructure, identifying the potential costs and savings of moving to a VMware Virtual Infrastructure - better preparing you for full-scale deployment.

  • Up to 45 days of performance and system data on existing Windows servers in your environment.
  • Data analysis for up to 200 existing Windows Servers.
  • An identification of the consolidation potential within your estate.
  • A preliminary view of the target architecture i.e. number of hosts required to support the consolidation candidates.
  • A Server Consolidation and Virtualisation Assessment report including a preliminary Total Cost of Ownership.
